What we do
We are a family homestead in Maryland. We share our land with a small herd of Nigerian Dwarf goats, a fat flock of laying hens, and a bunch of bunnies. We have built the garden of my dreams where we experiment with growing flowers, fruit and veggies. Our goats where originally brought in with the intentions to milk, but have changed duties to become our hiking companions, stress relievers, and friends. We can't imagine a life without them. So, we continue to grow our farm, our children, our life experiences, and our adventures.

Who we are
Bowerbirds are artistic builders that create a bower, then decorate it with colorful collections of shells, leaves, feathers, stones, berries, and found objects like bottlecaps, straws, coins, even plastic toys. After years of travel, and explorations in nature, collecting our own treasures, we have downsized our home, displaying close at hand our best treasures of books, artwork, shells, stones, and even legos. Our small cottage is the heart of our homestead, but our acreage is where we lay our roots, as we use every bit to our best advantage living out our farming dreams.
